When Covid-19 was officially declared a pandemic and nations started going on lock-down, a good number of us figured it would be gone after a month or two at most. I watched her make her way between tables as she got closer to where I was seated. Her well held up braids and neatly aligned hairline was evidence that she had just been just to the salon. She gave me a warm smile and I stood to hug her once she got to our table. It was our routine to meet up for coffee and catch up on our lives every month and this was definitely one of those days we looked upto; to help us unwind. Many at times we would lose track of time and leave quite late but we thank God we had each other.

Someone once said love is the most miss used word in our days and I think I will agree with him. As a christian everything we do should portray Christ right? Or at least we should be different from the rest of the standards of the world. Of late I've been trying to study what love is and what love is not. Trust me I am amazed but that is a story for another day. My aim today is just to express my amazement of God's deep and unconditional love. His kind of Love It's reckless for us His kind of Love Will never give up Till the whole world knows how far He went to show His kind of Love People never come to understand how God loves, especially if one has no relationship with Him. I believe there's power in love. Many have tried to rob Love off its power by the limitation of their understanding but when I look and study how Christ walked on this earth I can see a love that is unexplainable yet so tangible. I have wondered what it meant in the bible when it is written,"Those who overcame by their testimony". That is when I realized how powerful testimonies can be. As much as testifying is talking about what has happened before it really has something to do with what will happen in the future. Many people make decisions out of their own past experiences or from what they have heard from others. Testimonies in this context carries the goodness of the Lord and the bible is full of them. We came to Christ after hearing someone else testify. It made us want to know who this God is and what the death and the resurrection of Christ was all about. We do not testify only because we want to draw men to Christ but also because of the impact it leaves in us. There is nothing as sure, constant and pure as God. There many things we will try to lean on for our fulfillment but as long as its nothing to do with God it never lasts. Again if our faith is built on Christ, it is able to stand many trials but if it is built on any other foundation,it never lasts a test. Where I'm I going with this?
