STORYTELLER

Image result for images of storytellerI have wondered what it meant in the bible when it is written,"Those who overcame by their testimony". That is when I realized how powerful testimonies can be. As much as testifying is talking about what has happened before it really has something to do with what will happen in the future. Many people make decisions out of their own past experiences or from what they have heard from others. Testimonies in this context carries the goodness of the Lord and the bible is full of them.
We came to Christ after hearing someone else testify. It made us want to know who this God is and what the death and the resurrection of Christ was all about. We do not testify only because we want to draw men to Christ but also because of the impact it leaves in us. We are reminded of where we have been and where we are as per now and giving us the hope to hold on and wait for tomorrow.
When I came across this song i just felt like this was it.

The chorus is very summarized. From where the writer had been to how God was able to redeem her and now she can say It is well. These is what I would love to be reminded of in the middle of the week when I may not have hit my target and I am not sure if I will.
Remember you do not have to have a group of people to testify. You just remind yourself there is someone looking out for you and your story is a proof that It is well.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. REMEMBER

Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
