YOU NEVER LEAVE ME

Umeahidi ewe Bwana huniachi
(You have promised oh Lord that you never leave me)
Hadi mwisho wa dahari ulisema huniachi
(To the end of ages you said, you will not leave me)
Wewe ni Mungu uliye mwaminifu siku zote
(You always a faithful God)
Mimi ninaiweka Imani yangu kwako Bwana
(I put my faith on you Lord)

Today I just sat down and remembered the faithfulness of the Lord. These are the wings I needed to soar with in this new month.
The year has been something. It is almost coming to an end, two more months and 2017 is gone. Just the other day we were ushering it in and God spoke over our lives for the year. For me I knew it would be an year that would really test my faith and I had to be still and always remember that God is God. Sure as faithful as He is, He never left me.
Nipitiapo maji mengi au moto, huniachi
(Though I walk through streams of water or fire)
Unaijua jina langu ewe Bwana, huniachi
(You know my name Oh Lord, you never leave me)
Unatengeneza njia ata mito kule Jangwani
(You make a way and even rivers in the desert, you never leave me)
Wewe ndiwe alpha na Omega, huniachi
(You are the Alpha and Omega, you never leave me)
This verse reminds me of Psalms 27. The Psalmist must have gone through a great deal of events to write this. I remember there was a time in high school I was facing some really tough allegations concerning something I would have never wanted to be associated with especially being in the Christian union and it really broke my heart. I did not know how to defend myself because that was never me. I just kept crying for God to defend me. That Sunday a lady was invited to minister during our morning devotion and that's the psalm she read. There and then, still locked in the prayer room (because I did not have the strength to join the main congregation) with my prayer partner I knew God was on my case. The day did not end without the people against me coming to ask for forgiveness. That was in fact the day I spoke in tongues for the first time.
Baba hata mama wanaweza kuniacha
(My father and my mother may leave me)
Marafiki nao wanaweza kunigeuka
(My friends may foresake me)
Mara kwa mara maadui wanizunguka
(Every now and then my enemies suround me)
Nitaishi kwa ahadi yako Bwana, huniachi
(I will leave by your word, You will not leave me)
I don't know what testimony you carry so far. I may not know how your life is or how you are doing generally but one thing, those who wait on the Lord, He shall renew their strength.
Psalms 91: 4 "He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find strength. His faithfulness will be your shield."
Yes, your world may turn upside down or it may seem as if you are not making any progress. Maybe the people you trusted to stick close disappointed you or you disappointed yourself by making that wrong choice that you may never take back. His love is unconditional. He is not going to leave you unless you push Him away. Surely nothing can separate us from the love of God (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuhD-sKq4PA).
