Faithful

Lord Your faithfulness keeps pulling me 
down to reality-
 You're never letting go of me.
Out of all these times I felt I couldn't climb
You always took a hold of me-
You're always right in front of me..
Faithfulness.

We're born, we grow up, life changes, people change- sometimes they surprise us.Seasons come and go,rulers come into power and go, friends grow distant, loved ones pass away, our likes and dislikes vary as we grow...change is indeed inevitable. And as humans, we tend to yearn for something constant. We somehow wish friends would never leave, jobs would never be lost, the innocent child we once were would forever thrive in us and hopefully, those we treasure would always be by our side. This, however is not the case at all. In fact, it's interesting that the people or things we wish would be constant are the ones that fade so fast. Sometimes life seems pointless, huh?
But guess what? There is hope.
There is a God who is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is always faithful and true. His love is deeper than the deepest sea and it can never be drained.So, that constant you are searching for in every imaginable place? One word: God.

In the midst of everything that inevitably changes, 
we can hold on to a God who never ever changes.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
