NO DEBT....

I wonder how often we think about the cross. We listen to sermons and play music about it over the Easter season but really, how often do we consider the price Christ paid for us?
Has it just turned into one of those things we hear so much that it loses meaning or does it still deeply remind us of how much we have been loved?

God sent His Son to die so we could be reconciled to Him. This sacrifice so great that words cannot actually make us fully comprehend what kind of love this is. Yet we can be sure of one thing- He came that we may have life and have it in abundance. It is therefore really sad that we forget so fast. We live in bondage to sin like we have no hope. We fail to reach our full potential because we are too busy trying to carry burdens that He already lifted. Too busy trying find ways to get through this life  yet Jesus is The Way.
My prayer this week is that God will reveal to us the magnitude of the sacrifice at Calvary.
Picture His arms wide open. May our act of worship this week be to let Him embrace us fully.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. It's just that some of us have slowly been sucked into approval addiction while some have gradually realized that it really shouldn't matter that much so we try not to let others' opinions sway us. REMEMBER

Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
