THE PROMISED LAND

No more shall I look to the skies
For my Father's loving aid
Since here upon earth His treasure lies
And here is His kingdom laid
No more through the things unknown
I will search for the promised land
For time is the footstool of His throne
And I am in His hand
The wealth that is more than the finest gold is here
If I shall but ask
And wisdom unguessed and power untole
Are here for every task
The gates of heaven are before my eyes
Their keys within my hand
No more shall I look to the far skies
For here is the promised land

I was reading this book, You are born Rich when I came across this poem. I could not hold the thrill within me as much as i live alone. It was so overwhelming. Many times we try to reach for things that our minds have set so far. Not that they are that far but we have lived in the deception of us never being able to acquire that which we long for until we get to heaven. Things like peace, true joy, unending love...

Jeremiah 33:3, Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

It is clear here we can get to know those things we see as unsearchable if only we just ask. Our father is not a man that He should lie.Again in Ephesians we are seated together with Christ at the right hand of God, yet we still mourn as if we do not have an option to live well right here. What a challenge...
Food for thought!!!
