HE PROMISED

I know these days promises have become a norm to the extend of them not being honored. However, I know one whose promise stand. The word of God tells us that He is not a man that He should lie.
Isaiah 55:11 So will my word be which goes out of my mouth; It will not return to me void (useless,
without result), without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent. 
Every time I am reminded of this verse I receive new hope and a renewed confidence. Its not easy to walk on this earth worry free but Christ knew that and He said in the book of John, that in this world you will face many troubles but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.
So today the second verse of this hymn reminds me of this:
  Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear asail,
By the living word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.
It is enough to remember that Christ is with us always until the end of age. A horrible day does not push Him away. A bad report does not make Him run. His promises are true.He never fails and He wont start now.

    Reminds me of Romans 8:38, 39
    The promise that nothing can separate us from His love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. It's just that some of us have slowly been sucked into approval addiction while some have gradually realized that it really shouldn't matter that much so we try not to let others' opinions sway us. REMEMBER

Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. Those  are the times we question our faith in God, we question His love for us, we question the very Words we so clearly heard Him speak to us. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
