GOOD FATHER

I was not sure if I wanted to blog about anything today but this song is too loud in me. It's lyrics just talks about so much that I and most of us who are in a personal relationship with God can testify together with the writer.

I feel so thankful for knowing and experiencing God over and over. I do not regret because indeed He has been a sure and perfect Father. His Love keeps reminding me He is not man that He should lie. Most of the times even when I do not want to think about it because I am angry and frustrated He still has a way of making His word work in me. He whispers His tender mercies and unmerited favor in everything I look at. I am not the perfect person but one thing I am sure about is 

I AM LOVED BY HIM.
This day I worship my Father... He sure is my Good Father. His ways are perfect to me. He is just God. I am always in awe.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. It's just that some of us have slowly been sucked into approval addiction while some have gradually realized that it really shouldn't matter that much so we try not to let others' opinions sway us. Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
