TO LOVE YOU BACK

It is just after Easter and this is one of the holidays I always pray to see things differently and get a new perspective on my Christian walk or go deeper and be keen on the details that God places in front of me. There is so much that Christ did for us on the cross. A label of death and curses was used as a symbol of an unconditional love. We have been told these over and over again and it is my joy to always remember the perfect work on the
cross but today this song gave me a new perspective:

Is that I finally get... I finally get
I get to love You..

I have never thought of it this way. Before, we knew God to be far from man because of the sin in the world but once Christ paid the price and made a way for us to get to the Father, we are able to Love God back. Isn't it beautiful? We now know we can get to Him fully without any limitation because Christ tore the veil that kept us from experiencing God's glory.

Before it was more of a second hand relationship. Only a few were able to access God's presence. Think about the rituals and sacrifices that we had to give just to reach to Him. Mind you the blood of sheep did not guarantee a perfect wash and so it had to be repetitive. But now, we can Love Him because we know Him as a good Father. We can enjoy His presence from anywhere and anytime. We are able to have a relationship with Him who first loved us. We drink from the well of His abundance every time we go to Him.
The open doors of His presence are countless. I am glad I am able to Love God not because I fear His wrath but because I have drank of His pure love. I have experienced His peace and I know of His grace. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Above all, He is Love.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. It's just that some of us have slowly been sucked into approval addiction while some have gradually realized that it really shouldn't matter that much so we try not to let others' opinions sway us. REMEMBER

Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. Those  are the times we question our faith in God, we question His love for us, we question the very Words we so clearly heard Him speak to us. OF HONEST PRAYERS...

We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
