#TheTestament FAVOUR AIN'T FAIR-- CHIKHWAZA

We all have that one song or two that any time you've heard it this year you were like, "I know God this one is for me." We challenged you to share it with us and we thank God for the ones who took up the challenge. Here is Chikwaza's story.

Which song has really blessed you this year?

That has just been my song for the year.
And now I know

I've played it every morning this whole year. It talks about the favour of God in your life and how much you don't deserve it but He still gives it to you any way.
Personally I've seen the favour of God in my life and there are many times that I do not recognize it. Many times I ask for more and feel like I'm entitled to more but when I listen to that song it reminds me that by the way its not even fair for me to be where I am, to do what I do, to have seen what I've seen, to have been where I have been and where I am right now, it's all the favour of God. I have seen God's favour in my life. I really am a testimony.
What are you thankful for this year?
This year I'm grateful for friendships. People who speak the truth into my life, people who don't hide. I'm grateful for a lot of musical experiences that I've gotten to attend. One of them is the R2A concert by Recapp. It has been amazing. I have really been empowered in many ways. I'm grateful for the gift of music. I'm so happy that I keep learning so much and I'm hungry for more.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. REMEMBER

Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. Those  are the times we question our faith in God, we question His love for us, we question the very Words we so clearly heard Him speak to us. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
