REMEMBER

Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens.
This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. Those  are the times we question our faith in God, we question His love for us, we question the very Words we so clearly heard Him speak to us.
This song is a reminder to never forget in the darkness what we know to be true in the light.

When we are wondering whether He will really come through for us because He seems to be taking
too long... when we start second guessing the very steps He instructed us to take. Or we gradually
start categorizing things into what He can do and what we think He will definitely not do. I pray that we remember that He is not limited by any circumstance.
Is anything too hard for Me?
Is it ever too late for Me?
Whatever it is, I AM
I'm forever the same.

When we are comparing our lives to those of others and finding reasons why He probably doesn't care about us any more... when we have truly heard of what He has done but somehow our situation still seems too complicated in our imagination... When the earth beneath us seems to be giving way for sure. I pray that our hearts will be reminded of how He sings over us with songs of deliverance (Zephaniah 3:17)...how His love for us is everlasting (Jeremiah 31:3)...

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. It's just that some of us have slowly been sucked into approval addiction while some have gradually realized that it really shouldn't matter that much so we try not to let others' opinions sway us. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
