HOW MUCH ARE YOU WORTH?

Recently a friend of mine posted on Facebook that many at times people ask you which career you are in inorder to measure the amount of respect they should give you. This is a sad fact and not only so but there is a huge social, financial and career expectation that has been burdened on the boy and the girl child as well. You wonder why we are registering a good number of reports on premature deaths? Girls looking for sponsors and boys committing suicide?

The problem is that we try so hard to treat the symptoms instead of looking for the root cause. For example, lust is the fruit... rejection is the root. Think of it this way then we will see where we went wrong as a society.
Mirror, mirror
Mirror on the wall
Tellin' those lies
Pointing out your flaws
That isn't who you are
That isn't who you are

It might be hard to hear
But let me tell you, dear
If you could see what I can see
I know you would believe
That isn't who you are
There's more to who you are

So when it's late
You're wide awake
Too much to take
Don't you dare forget that in the pain
You can be brave

We have grown with a picture perfect paint in front of us that does not really show us our real value. In the long run we end up struggling to figure things out and to affirm ourselves. We then end up making decisions that just help get us by yet most of the time these decisions lead to a road we never hoped to walk on. Well child, it is never too late to make a U-turn. No matter how deep into the wrong path you may have gone.
I can never judge someone else for landing in the wrong hands when I know what it is like to know better and not actually do better. The difference with some of us it that some of us because of our social status our sins are more public than others. Your wrong decision is not any better just because you managed to hide it dear one. We all fall short and make mistakes. Thank God for grace but unfortunately not all given are willing to extend to a neighbor.
 Sisters, we can start again
Give honor 'til the end
Love, we can start again

Brothers, we can start again
Give honor 'til the end
Yeah, we can start again

I see you dressed in white
Every wrong made right
I see a rose in bloom
At the sight of you
Oh, so priceless
Next time someone makes you feel any less valuable because of your physical appearance, financial status, social status or whatsoever, remember this... You are worth the shed of divine blood. Not any less. Work smart in all honesty and do your best then rest in Him who sees you through the eyes of unconditional love. The only thing you owe this world is to be true to yourself.
