How I Reaffirmed My Trust In God
I do not think the series is worth watching.
For Supergirl, my excuse was that they are just repeating superman's story but now using a lady's face. Just like in most cases, I was right. I really persevered watching season one until I started picking up some interest halfway through. The funny thing about it is that every time Supergirl got into trouble and it looked like the evil side would win, I would blush off the anticipation by saying out loud,
"she is still in the next season so no doubt she will come up with a way of beating this one too."
This went on for about six episodes when it finally hit me that this attitude was actually teaching me a lesson. How many times do we get stuck at a particular scene in our lives that is scary and faith-testing to the extent that we forget that the series does not end there or even in that episode?
You did not create me to worry
You did not create me to fear
But you created me to worship, daily
So I will leave it all right here
My hands are raised because I surrender
Your will is what's best for me
I worship you because you are Jehovah Jireh
I bow before the king of kings...
The song reminds me that fear was never supposed to be what directs how we relate to God. Sometimes when all we see is what is before us, we forget that the end is already assured and in the end we are victorious. This is where all the worries about how I will pay my rent, get capital for my company, buy a new phone, be the best version of myself, be there when a friend or family needs me, all disappear.See, it is not every day that you will wake up having mastered your potential; like Supergirl when she was new to the superhero business, she made a good number of mistakes and some time good intentions may come out as something totally opposite. The most important thing is to trust that He who began a good work in your life is faithful to bring it to completion. He has promised you a future and a hope, therefore, you will also conquer this bad report, zero bank account, fear of not having what it takes to be the best in what you do.
"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You."

What a read! Excellent. Staying in the process .. Why because the end is assured. Victory is there.
