All That God Knows...


Before I even say what I want to say, if you have not heard
the new album by Jonathan McReynolds (a few months old now), I don't know what you are listening to... hehehe (no pressure though). And btw this is not a promotional blog. I just love it to the core of my being, if I'm allowed to even say that.
A friend of mine asked me what was my favourite song on the album and at the time I did not have any. They were all amazing. All resonating with life and giving me a soothing effect.
Now on to today's inspiration, there is this song, He Knows, in the same album. But then this song somehow stood out...

So there are two ways to looking at this; both of which are so amazing.

One there are things that we have been through that only you and God knows. People who struggle and hurt in secret then show up to the world as if they got it all together. You know those lonely tears, those sad nights and depressing afternoons? Yes, those ones. God knows them all.

Secondly, there are things that even you do not know but God does. The amazing things he prepares for you in secret. The love that only He understands coz even if you tried it would be too overwhelming. The grace, the joy, the splendour and how he is excited to just see you, his child doing your best. Those only He knows.
What makes you, you that you didn't even know. The details, the designs, your life in general. Everything not even revealed to you... He knows.
And once I started realizing the depth of this song, maaaaaan!!! I couldn't hold myself. This God is too good. And the best part is we belong to him no matter what is and what happens.

If you have the time look for the visual album on Youtube... You might love it as much as I do.

But the main take away from my writing today is this; Be at peace, God knows. That means everything about who you are and whatever surrounds you is taken care of.

We all care. Most of us like to say we do not really care what anyone thinks about us but truth is that deep down we really do. It's just that some of us have slowly been sucked into approval addiction while some have gradually realized that it really shouldn't matter that much so we try not to let others' opinions sway us. REMEMBER

Sometimes things go dark. So dark that life ceases to make sense... Sometimes things go wrong and just when we think they can't get any worse they actually do... Sometimes we get weak...or as we like to say, life happens. This song, I believe, is for those times when life happens. Because those are the times we are prone to forget the truth we very much proclaim to know. Those  are the times we question our faith in God, we question His love for us, we question the very Words we so clearly heard Him speak to us. We've heard it said countless times that when it comes to talking to God, there's no sort of perfect way to it. What matters most is the state of our hearts.  A broken and contrite heart- these, He will not despise. A good number of people say music gets them through pretty much everything. The truth is that music is powerful. However there have been times in my life when nothing made sense. When I say nothing I mean even the songs that would normally be very helpful were simply just nicely arranged words with a melody.
