Many people use this phrase this days,"I'm a work in progress". Sometimes we just say it to get out of a mistake without much argument or just to console ourselves when we feel as if we have fallen short of someone's or our own expectations. This is not a wrong phrase to use but the question is, on whose hands is your molding taking place? I have been told to work on myself over and over again. I have been asked to change the way I do this and that or try and be this or that and all that has ever done is pull me back or slow me down. The pressure makes you want to hide. I have wondered what it meant in the bible when it is written,"Those who overcame by their testimony". That is when I realized how powerful testimonies can be. As much as testifying is talking about what has happened before it really has something to do with what will happen in the future. Many people make decisions out of their own past experiences or from what they have heard from others. Testimonies in this context carries the goodness of the Lord and the bible is full of them. We came to Christ after hearing someone else testify. It made us want to know who this God is and what the death and the resurrection of Christ was all about. We do not testify only because we want to draw men to Christ but also because of the impact it leaves in us.
